| get it in the car and installed. Importers (generic statement so not directed @ T-Z-L) don't have a good history of HONESTY or standing by any "warranties". Also people have gotten burned MANY times in the process. A JSpec is not a fix-all - the motors can come w. their own issues, often have been left outside and sitting for months, have no real history and usually need a few parts here and there. IMHO anyone buying a JSpec should REALLY do some research on the importer they are using, ask hard questions, and expect to need to spend $500 ish getting the JSpec motor ready to install MIN. For example - the last 2 JSpecs that have been around here, and other motor that I had all had a smashed oil pain & lifter - it doesn't take much to oil strave our engines. Even with an "umlimited warranty" a local guy got told "tough" when he tried to have the importer give him a new oil pan - this is BEFORE the engine even went into the car. Basiclly - all I'm saying is don't believe the hype, not all engines are the same, not all importers are the same - just be realistic in your expectations and IF you are a NA guy don't let visions of HP and boost blind you from the details you should be paying attention to now RATHER then paying FOR later. My. $0.02 (please adjust for inflation accordingly)
